The SGT-3DPEG is a patented (PAT. 6058304) portable electric guitar with a three-piece design that allows for easy detachment of the neck, strings, and body.
Each guitar is meticulously crafted by veteran Japanese guitar craftsmen. It offers a level of luxury not found in traditional travel guitars. It’s perfect for travel and business trips, as well as everyday studio practice. Even those who have been put off by the often flimsy feel of traditional travel guitars will be amazed by the high quality of the SGT-3DPEG. The SGT-3DPEG shares the same neck size (24 inches) as the Fender Mustang and Cyclone, allowing for a comfortable playing experience similar to that of a regular-sized electric guitar.

FEATURE
- The newly developed detachable tuner (PAT.6058304) allows the strings, neck, and body to be separated into three parts, which can be stored in a small attaché-type hard case, so it won’t get in the way in crowded places or on public transport, and can also be sent safely by courier.
- The neck scale is 24 inches (609.6 mm), the same as the Fender Mustang and Cyclone.
- It has less tuning errors that are common with travel guitars and is of the same quality as a standard-sized high-end guitar.
- This is a high-end electric guitar that has been carefully crafted one by one by Yama Gakki, a long-established Japanese guitar workshop with over 30 years of experience, renowned for its guitar necks.

Head
The string unit can be easily attached and detached with one knob.
Neck
Although it’s a portable (travel) model, it has the same neck size (24 inches) as the Fender Mustang and Cyclone, so even those accustomed to regular-sized guitars will find it comfortable to play.
The neck is made of maple, the fingerboard is rosewood, and there are 23 frets (including the 0 fret).

Body
Ash is used as a relatively hard material for guitar bodies, and despite its compact body, it features clear mid-to-high range and good sound projection.

Bridge
It uses the Gotoh GE-103B, which has a wider adjustment range than usual and makes octave adjustment easier.
Control
It consists of a volume pot, a tone pot, and a 3-way toggle switch that allows you to select three types of pickups: front, front + rear, and rear.

The SGT-MSC01 is a dedicated soft case for the SGT-3DPEG. It measures approximately 82cm in length and weighs 410g (case only). It’s a compact and lightweight soft case.

(How to read the FFT analysis screen)
Of the two waveforms, the upper red waveform is the oscilloscope waveform of a 1E open string. The lower purple waveform is the FFT analysis waveform. Each division on the horizontal axis is 1 kHz, and the further to the right this waveform extends, the more high frequencies (harmonic components) it contains.

SGT-3DPEG Humbucker (JAPAN SGT)
Results for the rear pickup of our portable guitar SGT-3DPEG, a humbucker type.
The main harmonic components are around 4.5KHz, but there is a good extension of the frequency up to about 8KHz, although the energy is small.
The tone is somewhat bold but clear.
SGT-3DPEG Single Coil (JAPAN SGT)
Results for our portable guitar SGT-3DPEG, a single-coil type.
Compared to the humbucker type, the sound energy is smaller, but the main harmonic components extend to about 5.5KHz. This FFT waveform resembles a Mosrite.
The tone is a little thin, but is suitable for clean tones.
PRS(Paul reed smith)（USA）
PRS TOP10 24 frets. The pickup has been replaced with a Bartolini 1CTA instead of the original.
The FFT waveform shows two peaks. There are fewer harmonic components than expected. The main frequency components are around 4KHz. This FFT waveform is similar to a Barnes.
The tone is slightly thick yet delicate, bringing out the characteristics of the pickup.
MUSTANG(JAPAN FENDER)
This Mustang is famously played by Char. The neck scale of the SGT-3DPEG is the same as this Mustang.
The FFT waveform has a unique feature not seen on other guitars, with three peaks. The higher the peak, the more energy there is in the sound. The harmonic content is around 5KHz.
The tone is somewhat strong in the high range, with a complex mixture of sounds.
BURNS(ENGLAND)
The Burns is famously used by Hank Marvin of The Shadows.
The FFT waveform shows two peaks, just like the PRS. The harmonic content is quite high at around 5 kHz.
The tone is suited to clean tones, and the clear high frequencies make it the perfect guitar for expressing a Euro sound.
Mosrite（USA)
Mosrite guitars became famous with The Ventures in the 1960s, and still have passionate enthusiasts today.
The Mosrite I tried out this time is thought to be made in the USA around 1969, but the pickups appear to be made in Japan. The FFT waveform is similar to that of the SGT-3DPEG single coil, with harmonic content of around 5KHz.
The tone is thick and warm, a signature Mosrite sound.
